Description

Perfectly juicy and tender chicken breast cooked sous vide, seasoned simply for maximum flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat sous vide machine to 145°F (63°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Place chicken into vacuum-sealed bag or zipper bag using water displacement method.
  4. Add thyme and garlic if using.
  5. Cook in sous vide bath for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  6. Remove chicken from bag, pat dry with paper towels.
  7. Quickly sear in a hot skillet for 1 minute per side to develop golden crust.
  8. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate chicken beforehand or finish with a sauce of your choice.
